Start with a better question

Is a rail pass right
for your itinerary?

A pass is a tool, not a travel requirement. Compare the journeys you will actually take before deciding.

01

Put your route first

Add your stops and travel dates in order. We check only the specific routes supported by our verified dataset.

02

Look past the headline

See ticket prices, pass validity and eligibility together. A lower modeled total comes with its assumptions attached.

03

Know what we don’t know

Missing fares get a clear explanation. We never fill the gaps with guessed numbers.

The first tool · Phase 1

A small calculator.
An honest starting point.

We currently model discounted HARUKA journeys between Kansai Airport and Kyoto, Osaka, Shin-Osaka or Tennoji. Long-distance and other local routes are not yet priced.

Worth considering

Staying in one region?

Compare individual tickets and local options before a nationwide pass. If your verified journeys cost less than the pass, there is no price reason to choose it for those journeys alone.

Regional passes and slower local trains are not compared in Phase 1. This is not a complete search for the cheapest way to travel.
